The Crofthoose Hat is a favorite design by Ella Gordon. Knit with Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper Weight, a 100% Shetland wool, this cozy hat design is a lovely ode to Shetland and all of the Crofthouses that dot the countryside. Designer Ella Gordon is a well-known Shetland designer and these little Crofthouses are one of her favorite motifs. This hat was also the 2016 Shetland Wool Week hat design!
Knitting this hat is a great introduction or continued exploration of Shetland inspired colorwork using traditional skills and a contemporary pattern.
